It is not always easy traveling overseas with 4 small children and a wife that is pregnant.  God, however, always proves faithful in making it worth the challenge.  This was made evident yesterday, as we visited rooms in a home for elderly people.  The brother who started the homes is a man of profound faith, trust, and obedience to the Lord.  It was an honor to see him again and to have the opportunity to visit with the people that he cares for.  Having young children in an environment like that can be overwhelming, but our older 2 children did a great job of waving to, shaking hands with, and hugging the people that we were able to visit with.  It was so encouraging to see the smile that would come to someone’s face as one of the young ones would shake their hand or give them a hug.  It is a ministry that only the youngest among us can have.   It is a reminder that no matter the language difference or anything that would “separate” us, there is a unity in the love that is shared through a simple smile, a handshake or a hug.  It is also a reminder of the love God has shown us by turning His face towards us and embracing us in the person and work of His Son.
