Part of our team for 2026 arrived with no problems, while 19 of the other team members didn’t arrive until early Wednesday morning. That was due to delays with the airline leaving Roanoke. The third team is supposed to leave Roanoke today but there seems to again be delays with the same flight schedule.

However, with all the issues God is still very much at work. The past two services have been very Spirit-filled. From the chalk talk by Cora Hurst, or chalk drawing of the woman at the well, Zacchaeus, and Nicodemus as well as testimonies of God’s grace and singing by our team, we have seen God at work.

There have been a lot of setbacks and challenges, but still we see God at work.

You may ask how we have seen God at work? Through things like the faces of people we can’t communicate with but you know it is the work of the Spirit by the tears or the smiles or the nods of affirmation when something is happening in the service. Or the way people offer to help move furniture and setup when they can’t communicate but are eager to do what is necessary to help. Or when the trip plans change and frustrations set in, yet other plans begin to open. Maybe simple things on the outside, but that is how the Spirit often works:  low, slow and hidden.

So even though this is the way things are this week, we will keep going and trusting and living by faith and trusting that God will do what He plans to do in these days.
