I have been so challenged and encouraged by the words in Ephesians 3:20-21 that tell of my God’s ability to do whatever he pleases among men. It’s been an immeasurable blessing to visit Romania several times, and each time I have been amazed by God’s ability to transform hearts and lives. I once heard a man say, “The heart is a slippery thing! You can talk to the mind, convincing it of many things, but to talk to the heart? It is beyond the voice of man… it is the business of God.” Praise God He is in the […]
Well we were scheduled to have our first pastor’s conference in a gypsy village yesterday. When we woke up, however, about 10 people plus some translators had come down with some kind of virus. So, we had to decide if we wanted to make the hour trip with only half of our team. To be honest, initially I didn’t want to still go because I thought, “what if more of us get sick on the way out there?” We decided to go and what a blessing it was. The pastors were hungry for the Word of God. We got […]

When I woke up this morning, joy seemed to evade me, and worry and discontentment embraced me. However, through friendships, music, ministry opportunities, and constant conversation with the Lord, I understood what it meant for God to be near and I experienced the most unforgettable ministry I’ve had in Romania. Him being near does not mean we have complete understanding. It means we can receive guidance for the questions He wants to answer, and we can trust and love Him more in the questions that He doesn’t want to answer at this time. Him being near […]
While my husband Ross had been to Romania on a trip with the Thomas’ two years ago, this year is the first time for our three daughters and I.
Already, it’s been both challenging and inspiring. It’s a joy to be reminded that in what seems like situations of despair, the love and joy of Christ still abounds in the hearts of those who have given their life to Him. On the other hand, it’s heart-breaking to hear the stories of others who feel so discouraged by their circumstances—specifically, to hear the confession of one who has convinced himself that […]
This is my third trip to Romania and when I got off the bus at the end of the long journey, I was greeted with “Welcome Home”! It sure feels like the time passed quickly and it was great seeing my Romanian family again! ❤
Our third day here we visited the abandoned elderly and mentally challenged in three villages. As we showered them with love, hugs, songs of praise, and prayer, I thought about Matthew 25:31-46 – the story of the least of these. What we can offer these dear souls is temporary at best, but it is genuine […]
This is my first year on the trip and I have got to say it has been a blast. All of the people who are on the trip are really nice and genuine in their faith, and the joy they have helped to bring to people is awesome. Weather it was in Brusturi or dumbrava it seems we are really making a difference and that is just such an amazing thing. The joy on the faces of the people is well worth the tiring plane rides it took to get here. I look forward to continue ministering for the […]
The second team arrived yesterday afternoon. After getting some sleep last night, we dove straight into a day of ministry. We started out by sorting supplies for our village ministries and then loaded up on the bus and went out to the gypsy village of Tarcea. We did a shortened Vacation Bible School with the children and a women’s ministry with the ladies. After these two ministries, we led a church service with music, testimonies, and a message of the Gospel. It was a great day of serving and blessing. We are looking forward to a full day of […]
Just received news a little while ago that the first team arrived safely in Romania. They had some long flights and travel but are excited to be there.
Please be in prayer for the second team that departs on Monday. May God bless the ministry done through this trip!
